SSI BRAND RAPID CURING CUT BACK BITUMEN FOR ROAD WORKS RC-3

Our RC - 3 is a rapid curing cold cut back Bitumen of high viscocity ideal for use in Road Work as wearing course and for patch repairing. It is also used for roller compacted road mix.

A non heating cut back Bitumen which ideally suitable for use in hilly tracks and also used for seal coat for
non-sticky surface over the already laid pavements. The aggregate w ill be of crushed fragments
of 7 to 40 mm size

Preparation of Surface

To produce a tight bond of surface , the existing pot holes and ruts are to be repaired duly removing the loose and excess other materials that are gathered and should be replaced with suitable patching material.

The road should be leveled duly avoiding all the bumps and waves on the surface and should be clearly swept to remove all loose and other materials before applying RC-3 solution.

Method of Application

Before applying RC - 3 , it is recommended to use a Bitumen based primer for effective bonding. If the weather is chill and cold, it is essential that RC - 3 should be slightly warmed or the aggregates to which this RC-3 is going to be mixed should be slightly heated so that the moisture content may be removed before mixing. Care should be taken while warming up RC - 3.
