Introduction

Bitumen as we all know is dark black, thick, petroleum residue. The source of bitumen is from oil Refineries.
Bitumen procured from refineries are highly viscous which by oxidation, becomes industrial bitumen.

There are many grades of Industrial Bitumen such as 30/40, 20/30, 90/15, 85/25, 115/15, 85/40, 135/10, 10/20 and many more. Apart from these grades all other grades under IS: 73 and IS: 702 can be supplied under Special
Specifications.

1) BITUMEN 85/25

Avail from us impeccable quality bitumen 85/25, which is hot applied and find application for the purpose of bonding of roofing membranes & other insulating panels. Uses

Application

Application of Industrial Bitumen depends upon usage. Generally solid industrial bitumen such as 85/25, 90/15, 115/15, 85/40, should be broken into lumps and heated in heating vessels.

Packing

Temperature of material should be checked through thermometer, to prevent overheating of a material. For high viscous industrial bitumen such as 30/40 or 20/30 is used for mastic of Roads which gives a strong adhesion to roads.

Packing

Industrial Bitumen such as grade 90/15, 115/15 are packed in 25kgs. HDPE Bags and 160/165 kgs. Steel Drums.
All other grades are packed in MS Drums. Test reports and technical data of different grades of Industrial bitumen can be obtained
